Doing More of the Right Stuff

On holiday recently I picked up the best seller The Four Hour Body by Tim Ferris which is a companion to his earlier book The Four Hour Work Week. As a consequence I’ve changed what I eat and how I work out. I’ve stuck with the changes for about eight weeks now and feel very good about my chances of sticking to the new ways which I consider ‘the right stuff’. I’ve written about ‘the right stuff’ a few times. Here for example.

I believe the key to my success has been that my new habits are radical changes, distinct not vague, and there are just a few big chunks to remember. I never have to ajudicate between ‘new & right’ vs ‘old & wrong for me’. It’s always clear.

That’s the lesson if you want to change habits to do more of the right stuff. Make the new clear and distinct.

By the way the books are both terrific.
